***MgM Dance Studio presents an Irish Step Dancing workshop with Ms. Rachael Rogers Shaffer of the McNally Irish Dance Academy.***

Ms. Rachael Rogers Shaffer of the McNally Irish Dance Academy

Sunday May 19th, 2013 starting at 1:00 pm

 

1:00 pm - Beginner Preschool class (ages 3 - 5)

2:00 pm - Beginner Children class (ages 6 - high school)

3:30 pm - Ceili Group and Team class (ages 3 and up)

4:30 pm - Adult Beginner class (from college and up)

6:00 pm - Advanced class (for anyone who has taken classes before and is/was level novice or higher)

 

*The cost is $10.00 per person for the entire day payable at the door. Intro booklets will be provided for each family and are included in the cost. The booklets contain information and pictures about Irish dancing, the teacher, useful website links, as well as a dictionary of Irish dance lingo!

 

**Classes are an hour each, for men, women, boys, and girls. As long as you qualify for the classes, you are more than welcome to take part in as many as you please!*

 

*Please bring a bottle of water, with your name labeled on it, for breaks! Anyone under the age of 18 is recommended to wear shorts as it is easier to see the knees that way! You may dance in socks, ballet shoes or Irish dance ghillies, if you own them. (NO sneakers as they can catch on the ground and cause falls and injuries.)*

 

 

*If you are interested in taking classes please contact MgM Dance Studio or Rachael Rogers Shaffer. If we get a large enough desire for classes we may be able to start as early as summer! If not, we will have to wait until September. :( So please call or email us!*

 

***Please join us and take part in the wonderful Irish heritage through Irish dance! Feel free to invite friends and family - the more the merrier! Please RSVP so that we know how many to expect and so that we have enough booklets!***

 

 

(If you are currently taking Irish dance classes, please check with your teacher first before coming! Rachael Roger Shaffer IS NOT certified yet but is working towards taking her exams to be certified through An Coimisiún le Rincí Gaelacha, in Ireland, the oldest, largest, and most well known organization for competitive Irish dancing.)
